Description
Oppenheimer line
Atomic Age – a period of nuclear technology development started from the launch of the first nuclear reactor in 1942 and proceeded by further progress of the nuclear industry which is an important part of modern technological era.
The Atomic Age collection combines 3 lines dedicated to the three greatest nuclear physicists of the 20th century: Robert Oppenheimer, Enrico Fermi, Andrei Sakharov.
Robert Oppenheimer was the head of the Los Alamos laboratory and “Manhattan Project” that developed the first nuclear weapons. After the WWII, Oppenheimer became chairman of the influential General Advisory Committee of the newly created US Atomic Energy Commission. He used that position to lobby for international control of nuclear power to avert nuclear proliferation and a nuclear arms race with the Soviet Union.
Design combines a unique techno-futuristic polygonal anatomic shape case, tritium illumination and the best automatic and quartz movements. Case consists of two metal parts welded and fixed by 2 rivets. Special designed bright silicone straps with ventilation holes provide outstanding comfort for everyday use.
